Arrive at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station, where you will be met by our guide and driver. They will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. After checking in, you may choose to attend the Ganga Snan and Ganga Aarti in the evening.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Barkot via Mussoorie. Lunch will be served enroute.
TEMPLES TO VISIT
LAKHAMANDAL: Lakhamandal is a historic site reputed to have been founded by the Pandavas. According to the Mahabharata, it was here that the Kauravas constructed the Lakshya Grah in an attempt to burn the Pandavas alive. The Pandavas, however, managed to escape through a cave that still exists today and is known as Pandav Gufa.
The Lakheswar Temple at Lakhamandal features a Shivling said to have been installed by the Pandavas, and it remains preserved with two statues guarding it. Archaeologists have dated the Lakheswar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, to the 12th or 13th century.
In the morning, after breakfast, drive from Barkot to Jankichatti, a scenic 45 km journey along the Yamuna River. Once you arrive in Jankichatti, start your 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham. You can choose to walk, or use horses and palkis (palanquins) available at Jankichatti for the journey.
After your visit to Yamunotri Dham go for pooja and darshan, return to Jankichatti. From there, drive back to Barkot for dinner and an overnight stay.
Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. It will take 5hrs to reach Uttarkashi through scenic hilly roads carved between dense pine forests. Uttarkashi is a beautiful hill town on the bank of Baghirathi River. It is popular among mountain enthusiasts as its base of various trekking routes.
Temples to visit
VISHWANATH TEMPLE It is situated in main Uttarkashi city. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva, and it is believed that the temple was initially built by Lord Parshuram, and later in modern time renovated by Maharani Khaneti wife of Sudarshan Shah In1857.
According to legend this temple will be Lord Shiva’s abode in later kalyuga, when Kashi or varansi will be submerged under water.
SHAKTI TEMPLE: Shakti temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, is located just opposite Vishwanath Temple. The main attraction of the temple is the huge Trishul of 6 meters.
Mother Shakti is found represented here as a giant Trishul, which is estimated to be over 1500 years old and regarded as one of oldest relics of Uttrakhand.
Morning After breakfast Drive along Bhagirathi River to reach Gangotri. On the way you get to see beautiful mountains at distant and deep valleys in your journey. Reach Gangotri temple and after Pooja and Darshan drive back to Uttarkashi.

GANGNANI: Gangnani is a small Town situated 46km from Uttarkashi, on the route to Gangotri.
Gangnani is an ideal destination for the spiritually inclined and those seeking peace of mind.
GANGOTRI TEMPLE: Gangotri, a name deeply rooted in ancient Hindu mythology, holds a profound significance in its literal meaning - "Place where the sacred river descended from heaven."
legends say that King Bhagirath undertook rigorous penance and prayers to appease the gods, seeking to bring the heavenly river Ganga down to Earth to cleanse the sins of his ancestors and grant their souls salvation. Since that time, the waters of the holy Ganga have been flowing continuously, acting as a symbol of purity and spiritual cleansing for all of humankind.
Here Ganga is known as Baghirathi after Baghirath’s name.
Devotees from all over the country cleanse themselves in holy waters of Ganga and perform Pind daan Pooja for salvation of their ancestors. At the bank of Bhagirathi river a beautiful temple made of white marble is constructed dedicated to Goddess Ganga where devotees seek blessings.
SURYA KUND: A magnificent waterfall is formed when the gushing Bhagirathi tumbles down the gorge with great force. It creates a small lake known as Surya Kund at the bottom. People believe that King Bhagirath paid homage to the Sun God at this place since the first rays of the sun touch the lake.
HARSHIL: Harshil is a picturesque village nestled in the enchanting Gangotri valley, gracefully positioned on the serene banks of the Baghirathi and Jaad Ganga River. This quaint hamlet is adorned with a delightful array of deodar and apple trees, painting the landscape in vibrant hues throughout the seasons. Its scenic splendour is akin to scenes from a captivating movie. An off-beat gem, Harshil's captivating charm caught the attention of filmmakers, and it became the captivating backdrop for the iconic movie "Ram Teri Ganga Maili."

Guptakashi:
Located in the Northern Himalayan belt in the Mandakini River valley, which has lush green forests. Several streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the hours of sun rise and sun set from here.
ARDHNARISHWER TEMPLE : The temple is dedicated to Ardhnarishwer the union of lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Both the temples are in same Compound.
It is believed that Lord Shiva had proposed to Goddess Parvati in the same place, before marrying in Triyugi Narayan.
VISHWANATH TEMPLE: The Sacred Shrine is located in the town of Guptkashi. The Vishwanath Temple looks a lot like the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. The temple has a peaceful feeling, and the silver-capped snowy peaks of Chaukhambha in the background make it even more beautiful.
In front of the temple, there's a place called the Manikarnika Kund. It is believed that this pool of water is filled by two underground streams, one from the Yamuna River and the other from the Ganga River.
In the early morning, you'll check out from your hotel, and your driver will take you to either Seetapur or Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, you have to hire shuttle services of local cab to get to Gaurikund. Once you arrive in Gaurikund, your journey to Kedarnath begins. This trek covers a distance of 18 kilometers and follows a well-marked path. It typically takes about 9 -10 hours to reach Kedarnath on foot.
If walking the entire way seems challenging, you have the option to hire a Palki (a kind of sedan chair) or use horses that are available in Gaurikund. Breakfast and lunch will be on the way to kedarnath.

Kedarnath:
A majestic site, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. The present temple, built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with carved figures of various Hindu deities, the scenes originated from mythology. A huge solid piece of granite is carved into the shape of Nandi (Bull) erected facing the East towards the main sanctum.
There are other numerous holy sites, like Adi Guru Shankracharya Samadi, Bhim Shila (Is a huge slab of rock firmly settled that could protect the temple from tremendous force of devastating of landslide, happened in 2013 tragedy), Bharav Temple and Garur Chatti are worth visiting.
Early morning after Pooja & Darshan, have your breakfast and then trek down to Gaurikund. Reach sonprayag where driver will be waiting for you. Drive to Guptkashi for night stay.
Morning after breakfast drive to Ukhimath and visit Omkareshwer temple, then further drive towards Joshimath.
At Joshimath stop for lunch and visit Narsingh Temple. Reach Badrinath by evening. Check into hotel.

OMKARESHWER TEMPLE: In the charming town of Ukhimath, merely 10km away from Guptkashi, stands a magnificent temple devoted to Lord Shiva. This sacred shrine holds immense significance as it serves as the winter abode for two revered Kedars - Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwer. Legend has it that King Mandhata dedicated years to penance, and in response to his devotion, Lord Shiva appeared in the divine form of "OM" at this very place, showering his blessings upon the king. Hence, the place came to be known as Omkareshwer, a name that resonates with the eternal sound of the sacred syllable "OM."
BADRINATH TEMPLE: The famed town of Badrinath is Among the Four dominant Chardham pilgrimage site of India, as well as Uttrakhand. It is perched at an elevation of 3300m on the Bank of Alaknanda River. The holy Temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu. The badrinath temple was established by Aadi Guru Shankaraycharya. it is said that shaligram Idol of lord Vishnu was found in river Alaknanda by Aadi guru.

VYAS GUFA: Vyas Gufa, a small cave located approximately 300 meters away from Ganesh Gufa, holds a profound significance in Hindu mythology. According to legend, this is the sacred spot where the great sage Veda Vyasa narrated the epic Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha.
The cave's outer facade is a fascinating sight, resembling layered rocks akin to the pages of a book. In ancient times, it is believed that the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of Hinduism, were stored within these rock layers. This association with the Vedas adds to the cave's mystique and spiritual aura.
SARSWATI RIVER: As we further explore Mana village we come across thundering and gushing river known as Saraswati River. Devotees fill its pious water and take home as blessings of Goddess Sarswati.
BHEEM PUL: According to the Mahabharat, when the Pandavs were on their way to Swargarohni, Draupati got scared of the gushing and thundering flow of the Saraswati River. To help her cross the river, Bheem constructed a bridge by placing a giant rock, and it was named after him as Bheempul.
Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh via other four Prayags, Nandprayag, karanprayag, Rudrprayg and Devprayag. on the way visit following temples and place.

Dhari Devi: Dhari Devi holds immense importance as a prominent temple in the Garhwal region. Worshipped as form of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva's wife, she is revered as the guardian of Uttarakhand's sacred Chardham. Visiting this divine temple becomes a necessary act to express gratitude and seek blessings for a prosperous and secure Chardham yatra.
Dev Prayag: Last and most prominent prayags (confluence) of Panch Prayag where Alaknanda meets Bhaghirathi and then further flow as most sacred river of India known as Ganga.
